August Shop-Buckle

Introduction

Back in Jack’s younger days, Jack was consulted by his good friend to provide feedback on a watch buckle. Possessing the relevant skills, expertise and knowledge in this field is the result of Jack graduating from the school of Mechanical Engineering.

Upon closer examination, he noticed that the work was incomplete. He provided the following pointers to be improvised:

- Do not chamfer on all the sharp pieces.
- The holes drilled did not match.
- The surface of the work was inconsistent.

Through discussions, Jack was then asked by his good friend to improve on it. Due to certain constraints, Jack was unable to work on it. He sought help and brought it to many other experts with the relevant know-how and the outcome was not very different from the original buckle. It was disappointing.

With the fear that working with acquired help will not yield the best-desired outcome, he chose his team of friends to work with wisely. It turned out well with many perfect buckle projects. He received many praises from people and friends. The watch buckles that Jack made was well-liked.

However, he stopped for a period of 3 years due to certain circumstances. Thereafter he turned to making watch straps for a year. The satisfaction was not as great as that of making watch buckles. He then shifted his focus back to what he excels in and that is handcrafting watch buckles.

Because of his good friend, he had the opportunity to hone his skills making quality buckles.

Even till today, Jack is very grateful to his Pattaya friend.
